The Niobrara County FBLA chapter organized a lemonade project with the LEMS third-grade class. The goal of this project was to teach the American enterprise system to the students. Over the course of several lessons with assistance from three FBLA officers, the third-grade students completed a business plan for a lemonade stand, including designing their dream lemonade stand. The student who had the neatest and most thoughtful plan won a lemonade stand to run throughout the summer. We would like to thank the Lusk State Bank for partnering with us and donating a lemonade stand. The project was successful the kids enjoyed creating a lemonade stand and learning about the American enterprise system. Keep an eye out for Kaydence Nelson running her lemonade stand this upcoming summer.-Contributed by Abby Kottwitz
