Board Meeting Snapshot 9-25-2023

• Skye Martin was recognized as Niobrara County School District Teacher of the Year.
• Board Policies Section C were all approved as reviewed or revised on second reading.
• Kasey Bruegger was approved as special education paraprofessional.
• Kathrine Kruse was approved as concession manager.
• 2 homeschool petitions were approved, we now have 25 homeschool students in the district.
• FBLA students and their sponsor updated the board on their trip to the national competition.
• Building Principals and their staffs presented the student achievement data from last spring, another year of outstanding growth and continued improvement on achievement. 75% (8 out of 8 in ELA, 4 out of 8 in Math) of our Bricks grade levels are at or above the state average on the state assessment (WY-TOPP).  For the second year in a row, the 11^th grade scored above the state average on the ACT assessment.
• MS staff reviewed the Mallo Camp trip for the 7^th and 8^th graders.
