Niobrara County Schools has been canceled for today due to weather. Stay home and stay safe.

NCSD#1 will have a two-hour late start tomorrow, April 5, 2023. Buses will run accordingly. School will begin at 10 am. If the plan changes, notices will be sent out by 8 am tomorrow.

Niobrara County FCCLA Chapter had 10 students attend state convention this year with 9 of the students competing in events. The students all did a great job, both in and out of their events! It is amazing to watch all of our students support each other! As an advisor I am always in awe of the students competing, watching them interact with other students, judges and advisors is impressive! We will not know exactly who all qualified for nationals until portal is open and typically top 2 go unless bumps happen, but placings are below.

Niobrara County FBLA had twenty members attend the State Leadership Conference in Laramie, Wyoming last week. These members competed in 62 events at the State Conference. Twelve of the members qualified for the National FBLA competition in Atlanta, GA this summer. All members did an incredible job representing NCHS!

Congratulations to our HS Wrestlers! State placings: 6th Miles Ashurst, 5th Blake Miller, State Runner up Colton Coffman, and 2 time State Champion Nathan Fish! Also, congratulations for our first time ever Girls state competitors and for Jazmin Ladwig in placing 5th.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the rodeo dinner has been canceled. However, we will be doing another type of fundraiser, so look for that in the coming weeks.


Due to weather delays there will be a change in the menu for the 28th. We will be having Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Vegetable, Roll, Salad Bar and Milk. Stay warm out there.
