NCHS FCCLA students had a great state conference, with 6 students placing in the top 3 of their events! Additionally, the Niobrara County FCCLA chapter brought home the Outstandinging Small Chapter Award this year! This achievement is a testament to their hard work and strong presentation skills which is developed through the support of their teachers, classroom experiences and participation in all the school and community activities! Great job Tigers!

Friendly reminder to please pay your child's lunch balance. Letters were sent out to families with large balances. Please fill out and return your Free and Reduced Form to the school and/or contact Katie Redmann at the District Office (307-334-3793) to discuss your payment plan. You can also stop by the office and pay your lunch balance during Parent/Teacher Conferences this Thursday from 4-7pm or Friday from 8-12pm. The FFA Vet Science Judging team went to Torrington and competed at EWC yesterday at the FFA state vet science competition. They will receive results later.



Freshman learning Parliamentary Procedure
Their final today was to run an FFA meeting with assigned main motions and 4 subsidiary motions. Each officer was responsible for debating 3 times correctly and memorizing their opening ceremonies parts. Finally at the end they each had to answer questions relating to “Robert’s Rules of Order.”




Please plan on joining the listening session hosted by EWC on Thursday, March 20th at 12pm in the NCHS Auditorium. You can share your thoughts with Dr. Hawes the EWC president. Lunch will be provided by Hickory Creek Catering.


School board meeting will be Wednesday March, 19th at 6pm instead of Monday.

NCHS will offer Driver’s Ed this spring. To be eligible, students must have a valid learner’s permit or driver’s license. The course includes 30 classroom hours and at least 6 driving hours. Before finalizing the schedule, we need a headcount. Classroom sessions will likely be held before school on weekdays. Students can sign up in the office tomorrow, or parents/guardians may call the office to register their student.

NCHS boys basketball team will play at 1:30pm Saturday, March 8th at NC.

NCHS basketball teams will play Friday March 7th, at Casper College. The girls play at 9:00 am vs. Upton and the boys play at 8:30 pm vs. Upton.

Due to the forecasted inclement weather, NCSD #1 will have a remote/virtual learning day on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Chromebooks and necessary materials were sent home with students today.
