Attention Parents:
This is another friendly reminder to please pay your child’s lunch balance. As of today our outstanding lunch balance is -$22,308.57. We are very fortunate to be able to offer every student a free hot breakfast. But, unfortunately if balances are not paid, this may be a luxury that we will no longer be able to offer. If you are not receiving your child’s lunch balance via text message every week, please contact the office. You can pay on Infinite Campus with a credit card or come into the Office (HS or LEMS) and pay with credit card, cash, or check. Free and Reduced forms can also be picked up at either office. Please fill one out and return it to the school to see if you qualify. Payment plans can be discussed and set up with Katie Redmann by calling her at the District Office (307-334-3793) or emailing her at redmannk@lusk.k12.wy.us. Please pay your lunch balance. Thank you!
Busy week with lots of activities scheduled. These are the times currently, if that changes we will update as we find out. The SEWAC MS girls wrestling will start at 3pm. Thanks and Go Tigers!

Lots of activities Friday, January 17th!

It is that time of year when weather can affect the school's operations. The district utilizes either a Late Start of 10AM or a Virtual Day during questionable weather events. This coming weekend's extremely low temps (Weatherman Bowman is saying -15 for those of you who remember him) could provide the district with an alternative schedule for Monday. A decision on physical attendance will be made later in the weekend, but we want you to be prepared for what MAY come. Follow the link below to information on a virtual day and the expectations that come with that.

Niobrara County is thrilled to announce the FIRST EVER middle school girls wrestling team! This historic team is made up of nine fearless girls in grades 6-8, many of whom are stepping onto the mat for the very first time. Their bravery and willingness to take on a new challenge are truly inspiring! Coached by the dedicated team of Mr. Hodge, Mr. Nelson, Mrs. Hodge, and Miss Sturman, the excitement is already building for the season ahead. These young athletes have shown incredible growth, determination, and team spirit, and the coaches couldn’t be prouder. Mark your calendars—the Lady Tiger Wrestling Team kicks off their inaugural season on 1/17/25 in Sundance. Let’s show them our support as they make history!
Last week the University of Wyoming School of Energy & Resources did a presentation on the degrees (Professional Land Management & Energy & Environmental Systems) they offer to the students. They did a great job explaining the different scholarships and offerings they provide, while explaining an interesting 3+3 quick start accelerated degree program (Bachelor of Science/Juris Doctor).
The NCSD #1 employees would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Roping for Tots, Cory Clark, and Michael McNamee, for the thoughtful coffee gift cards. Your generosity and support is appreciated!
The NCHS staff extends heartfelt thanks to Platte Valley Bank for the wonderful luncheon and thoughtful appreciation shown today.
